# 2026-09-17

**Take stick.** An agent loop can run while you sleep, but the second a human grabs the controls it yields. Autonomy without a clean handoff is just another stuck process.

**One hull number.** Fold face and agent/bridge face keep one version clock. Public play is fine ([Skiff Run](https://of1-dev.github.io/skiff-run/)). Before v1, shipping a change bumps the number. Asking whether to bump is the debt.

**Tabs are not a control plane.** An in-browser door that dies when the tab closes is a demo, not a shop daemon. Persistent auto-run lives on a server bridge, not a browser session.

**Silent fail.** A credential file owned by the wrong user fails with no useful scream. Check who the service runs as before you chase ghosts.

**Paste with a done line.** Multiline commands dumped into a phone or terminal leave you guessing. End the block with an explicit echo so you know it finished.

**Next.** Keep the captains log short and public-safe. Wins and losses both. Check the ledger before inventing a rule.
