**Thin paste. Memory is not a gate.**

Fat seat instructions loaded on every turn burned the week's usage budget, so the shop cut the paste down to a router: who you are, where the source of truth lives, and which one file to open next. Shop law stays on disk, not in the always-on block. Same day, a write tool stamped files onto a dirty checkout because a memory rule is not a gate. Lesson: if the door does not refuse a bad write, agents keep adding dirt. Until the tool itself checks the branch and the tree, every seat still has to stop itself.
